macOS 10.14 Mojave – Sims 3 and Sims 4 update

I have macOS Mojave beta installed and so far Sims 3 is still loading and playable.

I did get the following dialogue box stating that the game will stop working at some point with a future version of macOS, not dissimilar to the one currently popping up in High Sierra and linking to the same Apple support page:

I also tried Sims 4 and was surprised to get a similar dialogue box. Origin and Sims 4 are already 64-bit so this message shouldn’t be popping up:

I really have no idea what software this dialogue box is referring to. If anyone has any idea please share, it would be great to know 🙂

I’ll keep testing after each build is released and report any changes here.

  1. Thanks for this, Bluebell. I have an old-ish Mac desktop on which I keep TS3 installed (still my first love!) just in case the new and future Mac upgrades spit it out. Are you still creating worlds or lots for TS3? I know you’ve created some seriously yummy stuff for TS4. 🙂

Since the Wizard Woz left Apple the awesomeness of their products has dropped off somewhat (in my opinion). I shall always be a Mac gal, unless they go breaking my heart.

How are you finding Mojave, so far?

    1. Not creating anymore for Sims 3. Even though it’s a much better game and has all the features I love, I can’t tear myself away from Sims 4 because the lighting is so beautiful. Mojave seems great so far!

  2. Are you getting kernel panics like I get with macOS High Sierra?? I swear my Late 2013 MacBook Pro crashes more since High Sierra than it EVER did before and I’ve been playing TS4 on Mac since it was first released for Mac back in 2015.

      1. I’m installing Mojave Public Beta 3 right now. I’m SO sick of crashes that I’m willing to try a beta of an OS to see if that helps… This is actually not the first time I’ve beta tested an Apple OS. I did iOS 6.
