Sims 3 64-bit coming TODAY

5pm UK so only another 9 hours!

Please don’t expect everything to go smoothly, there will inevitably be bumps in the road.  I’ll be online for as long as I can because this really is a momentous occasion for us Mac players who have never had a properly working game.

  2. Thanks for letting us know, BluebellFlora! Wow. I haven’t been able to login to my page on Sims 3 for a couple of years. All my purchases are inaccessible. I wonder if this change will address those issues?

  4. What does “pre-load” mean? It seems that we are all assuming it means that that is when we can download the game but are we sure? The prefix “pre” has me concerned that it means something else.

    1. Nevermind. I just saw an update on answers.ea.com that says

      “UPDATE:
      We’re hoping to get the The Sims 3 64-bit & Metal version onto your hard drives this Wednesday, October 28.
      Thank you and – very soon – happy Simming!”

      Still not sure why they use the word “pre-load” but I guess it’s no cause for concern.
