The Sims 3 and NVIDIA issue – celebrating a year of no fixes

This glitch is so damn annoying and it’s been around since Seasons came out. It affects all Mac users who have NVIDIA graphics in their Macs and only happens in Autumn/Fall and Winter. Spring and Summer are fine. Of course EA have chosen to ignore it. I started this thread pretty much as soon as Seasons was released. Sweet FA has happened. All EA ever do on the Mac forum is delete and move threads, god forbid they would actually try and help.

Archipelago Bay now available for upload.

I’ve finished testing Archipelago Bay and it’s playing so nice and smoothly – the benefits of having no roads or sidewalks.

There are 16 Residential and 12 Commercial empty Lots (apart from the Dive Spot which is built and fully functional). The world is built on a 512×512 map and is fully landscaped and painted. To see the world as it is in these pictures you will need all EPs, bar Showtime. I also used the Mesquite Shrubbery from Lucky Palms and the Birds of Paradise from Sunlit Tides.

There are spawners from all EPs apart from Showtime so your Sim can really go to town on those collections.

I really hope you like this world as much as I do. It may take a bit of work to build the Lots you need but I wanted this to be a blank canvas so the user can decide how they want to play this tiny little map – enjoy!

 

Archipelago Bay

Coming very soon, Archipelago Bay is a world without roads or paths. And very few Lots:

  • 16 x Residential
  • 9 x Commercial
  • 1 x Port
  • 1 x Diving Lot

I’m not building any Lots (apart from the dive spot) for this world. It’s so small that it’s better if the player adds their own as there won’t be enough room for all types.

I’m just finishing up spawners and routing then I’ll test it before uploading 🙂
